Pour. Play. Create.

Resin Art Class in Brisbane & Gold Coast

Our Resin Art Class is one of the most-loved workshops at DIY Invasion, and it's easy to see why. Held right here in Stapylton, between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, it's the kind of afternoon that starts with "I've never done this before" and ends with "when can I come back?" Whether you're flying solo, bringing a date, gathering the girls, or just after a proper creative reset, pull up a seat — we'll do the rest.

A Little Chaos, A Lot of Colour

What is Resin Art?

Resin art is equal parts science, art and happy accident. You'll pick your colour palette, then pour, swirl and tilt your way to a one-of-a-kind design — no two boards ever turn out the same, which is exactly the point. Our hosts will walk you through the pouring and mixing techniques step by step, so even if you've never picked up a paintbrush (let alone poured resin) in your life, you'll leave knowing exactly what you're doing. It's relaxed, it's a little bit messy, and it's genuinely one of the most satisfying things you'll make with your own two hands.

What to Expect

Here's the good stuff to know before you book:

Duration: Approximately 3 hours of guided, hands-on creating

Included: All art materials, your chosen board, and an apron to keep the mess where it belongs

BYO: Bring your favourite drink and a few snacks to sip on while you create — it's part of what makes the afternoon feel like a proper occasion

Age requirement: Guests must be 18+ to consume alcohol on-site (ID may be requested)

Family-friendly: Kids are welcome alongside a supervising adult, unless you've booked into a specified teen session

Curing time: Resin needs time to properly set, so we recommend leaving your board with us for at least 48 hours before collection, or we can arrange shipping for an additional fee

Want the Studio to Yourselves?

Beyond our regular monthly Resin Art sessions, we also welcome private and group bookings for anyone wanting the studio all to themselves — perfect for hens parties, birthdays, team events, or simply a group of friends who'd rather not share the tables. Private sessions are booked directly with our team rather than through our usual online calendar, so we can tailor timing, group size and board options to suit your occasion.

Why We're a Little Different

Why People Keep Coming Back

We built DIY Invasion around the idea that creativity shouldn't feel intimidating — it should feel like fun. That's why every Resin Art class is beginner-friendly from start to finish, with everything provided so you can simply show up and create. Our instructors are as encouraging as they are knowledgeable, there to guide you through every pour without ever making you feel like you're doing it "wrong" (there's no wrong here — that's the beauty of resin). And at the end of it all, you're not walking away with just a photo of what you made; you're walking away with the actual thing, ready to display, gift, or brag about.
